Corporate Services
Alcohol and drugs misuse is an issue which needs to be treated seriously within the workplace, highlighted by the Health and Safety Executive that currently estimate that up to 14 million working days are lost each year due to alcohol related problems alone; costing British industry an estimated £2 billion pounds each year. Poor employee performance, accidents, increased staff turnover, loss of experienced staff and increased absenteeism are just a few of the consequences of alcohol and drugs misuse that can impact upon an organisation's profitability, reputation and working environment.
However, a survey report by the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development in 2007 concluded that the majority of employees with alcohol and drug problems who are referred to specialist treatment or given rehabilitation support, are successfully retained in the workplace.
Lifelong Recovery provides services to employers affected by alcohol and drug problems in their workforce. We believe our clinical knowledge and experience in the field of addiction, combined with our business experience, make us suitably qualified to provide a specialised service of this nature to employees and employers across the counties of Dorset, Devon and Somerset.
We provide a range of services depending on the needs of the employee; from support, information and advice through to more intensive addictions therapy that is intended to enhance employee's motivation to change and help to positively modify their substance misusing behaviour. Therapeutic sessions can be either conducted within the workplace or at the employee's homes if considered appropriate.
Furthermore, Lifelong Recovery provide additional services to employers, including the development and implementation of an effective substance misuse policy, and the delivery of alcohol and drug related presentations and training to staff, on subjects such as the problems of substance misuse in the workplace, drugs awareness, and how best to manage substance misuse problems when they occur.
If you consider our services may be of value to your organisation, or wish to acquire further information, please do not hesitate to contact us.
